Contamination by bacteria in aqueous industrial environments can be responsible for failures in productivity resulting in economic loss. This is particularly true in metalworking fluids and stored hydrocarbon fuels, but the problem also exists in other industrial process and cooling waters.
Growth by bacteria in these systems can be responsible for corrosion, slime formation, foul odors, and decreases in fluid function. In order to effectively treat contamination with biocide, levels of bacterial growth must be routinely monitored. The Sani-Check B dipslide makes determination of these microbial counts fast and easy. Sani-Check B Test Kits contain dipslides coated with an agar culture medium. Each test kit is complete and ready to use. No special equipment or training is necessary.
Both sides of the dipslide are coated with a medium selective for bacteria. Almost all aerobic bacteria will grow on this medium and their growth will be in the form of red dots, also known as colonies, on the surface of the agar. The dipslide is compared to a chart in order to get a quantitative interpretation of the results.
The Sani-Check B Test Kit has a six month shelf life. It can be stored in the refrigerator or at room temperature, but care should be taken to avoid frequent temperature changes.

The Sani-Check BF dipslide makes determination of these microbial counts fast and easy and is unique in that both measurements can be made simultaneously. Sani-Check BF bacteria and fungi test kits contain dipslides coated bacteria dipslidewith an agar culture medium. Each test kit is complete and ready to use. No special equipment or training is necessary.

Anaerobic sulfate reducing bacteria are ubiquitous in the environment. They are found in sulfate reducing bacteria test kitsecondary oil recovery effluents, estuarine waters, deepwells, cooling waters, metalworking fluids, water-based hydraulic fluids, and petroleum based products that in some way become contaminated with water. Sulfate reducing bacteria are responsible for fouling, objectionable hydrogen sulfide odors, corrosion of metals, and pitting of concrete. It is essential that these organisms be monitored and controlled to prevent damage caused by their metabolic activities.
The Sani-Check SRB is a sulfate reducing bacteria test kit that contains tubes of culture media specifically formulated to promote the growth of anaerobic sulfate reducing bacteria. The designation SRB stands for Sulfate Reducing Bacteria. These are organisms which reduce sulfate to sulfide in the absence of oxygen. The most common organisms of this type associated with contamination of the industrial environment are found in the genera Desulfovibrio and Desulfotomaculum. When sulfide is liberated, it reacts with iron in the tubed culture medium to form iron sulfide, a black precipitate. The degree to which the medium blackens, along with the length of time it takes to change color, allows for an estimated count of sulfate reducers to be made. Acid-Producing Bacteria (APB) can contribute to microbiologically-induced corrosion (MIC) in a variety of environments including oil and gas production, processing, and storage. APB growth and activity can be responsible for the corrosion of metals. It is essential that these microorganisms be monitored and controlled to prevent the damage caused by their metabolic activities.
The Sani-Check APB Test Kit is a simple and rapid test for the detection and enumeration of APB with results in 24 hours when strong acid producers are present. This semi-quantitative system contains tubes of culture media specifically formulated to promote the growth of acid producing bacteria.
One culture tube equals one test and no syringes are needed. The unique sample applicator acid producing bacteria testallows for the evaluation of both liquids and surfaces.
